Ship Photograph signed Large in Frame
There isn’t much to say about this fabulous photograph of a ship sailing through high seas. It is an odd shape and size measuring overall 19 ½”Wide x 34 ½”High and the sight size is 14 ½” x 29 ½”. It has a kind of eerie feel as far as the subject and color. It is signed on the bottom lower right. It is in very good condition – it is in a wonderful frame that appears to be maybe burled walnut or figured walnut with a gold gilt border. It is very subdued looking – very masculine. Great picture! ...

Ship Model Varuna Norwich Antique Hand Made
Wonderful 19th century sailing ship model called the Varuna of Norwich. This is a massive model of wonderful proportion. There is so much detail it is kind of hard to describe. What I can tell you is this – the paint which is red and black appears to be original and of course it is worn in some spots. The ship’ s name appears on the front right side, the back right side and the very back of the model which reads – The Varuna of Norwich. In fact the name is on all four corners and the back. The ...

18th Century Mini Furniture Still Bank
Here is something quite spectacular - I have never in my career ever seen anything like this one. It is a miniature bow front chest dating from the 18th Century. It is mahogany with highly figured birds eye maple veneers and a lighter color banded inlay. The drawer pulls are made of whale ivory. The back as I hope you can see is moveable. It is on hinges and I believe that this miniature chest did start out as a bank and it looks like it has had a little bit of restoration in those areas like ...

Carved Whale Bone Box
Super nice box dating from the early 1900’s. A very unique nautical item. Carved Whale Bone in a basket weave design resembling the Nantucket basket styles. On the top of the box is a carved whale. This is quite the little treasure, the box is made in sections, that’s due to the width of the bone. The basket weave is carved with fine detail & the outside of the box has a mellow surface color. The condition is excellent & it measures 3 ½” x 2 ¼”x ¾”. Any nautical should be delighted with this ...

Ships Figurhead Nautical 19th Century
Nice American Ships Figurehead. Dating from the mid 1800’s.Not often does a person have the opportunity to acquire such a rare nautical /maritime antique. I believe the wood to be pine & it has a few coats of white paint on it. The carving is super, greatly detailed and very crisp while free flowing at the same time .She looks like Lady Liberty to me with the crown on her head & necklace around her neck. The curls in her hair are just delightful & her facial features are beautiful & so life like ...

19th Century Two Mast Schooner Model
Black & Red Boat model. Here is a super 19th Century Two Mast Schooner – a great item for on top of your fireplace mantel. The schooner is hand made and I believe it to be the original paint but I’m not 100% sure. It has so much going for it – all the little pulleys are hand carved, it has life boats inside the ships wheel which is carved wood, it has hatches, and everything you would expect a schooner to have. The anchor is on a pulley chain and is attached to the front side. This model is ...

Ships Bell on Stand - Nautical
Nice Early Ships Bell on stand. This is quite a spectacular piece for the nautical connoisseur. The bell is made of a silvered bell metal. It’s no doubt off of a ship but it doesn’t say which one. There is an early hand forged anchor that is strung with wire on to the holder. I believe that it was original tied around the end of the clapper. The surface condition of the bell is a little bit dirty. The bell is mounted on a contemporary hard wood stand and is not original to the bell at all, but ...

The four decanters are early blown decanters with stoppers and enameled on the top with a lavish amount of gold gilding. It has one cordial glass fitted in to the lid compartment. Tantalus Mahogany Six Decanters

Here is an absolutely wonderful Tantalus containing six decanters and two air twist stem cordials. The bottles of course are hand blown with an ornately blown mold stopper. Out of the six bottles there are two that are sick which means cloudy, one bottle has damage to the neck, and three bottles are excellent. They are all lavishly enameled with gold gilt. Of course the box is fitted for the decanters and there is a fitted compartment in the lid for the two air twist stem cordial glasses. The ...
