Wow is all that I can say when I look at this most
exciting three section fire back. Made in the 19th
century & the casting is superb. The subject
matter is totally awesome, look closely at the
close up pictures & you will see the cherubs hard
at work in the blacksmith shop. Some cherubs are
forging andirons, one cherub is working on the
designs & one cherub is doing the accounting. Its
just the greatest. Complete fire backs are
impossible to find anymore. The condition is great
& it measures. ( Center 23.5”w x30” high)(each
side is 15” w x 30” high) Because they are hand
forged the thickness varies from 1” down to 1/2”
But they all fit well together & they weigh a bloody
ton. I recently was lucky enough to find a fire back
for my fireplace & now every time I look at it I
wonder how I ever lived without it! Be sure to look
