blues, that old yellow (almost a mustard yellow)
Brass Fireplace Shovel

It has an excellent cut work design on the shovel itself along with a decorative beaded finial on the top.

black ebonized wood with carved stylized flowers and spindles on the top rail. The glass insert is plain
glass on one side with a frosted camphor Vaseline feel to the reverse side. That side is all hand
painted in a completely stunning subject matter.

original. As you can see it is mounted with finely casted decorative mounts in gilt bronze. The castings
are all very fine – it appears on the bottom of the mantel that there may have been another set of

Hand Hammered Copper Fireplace Bumper
Completely hand made copper fireplace bumper. This bumper is very unusual being so classical in
design. The copper is hand hammered onto wood, but first I see that the copper was laid out & tooled
with an all over pattern, than hammered onto the wood frame. There are three oval plaques on the
front with a highly detailed rams head .This bumper was made in the 19th century .The condition is
excellent & what I find interesting & a good indicator of its age is that the wood is very light weight & dry.
Because the fender is so classical & yet somewhat primitive in style I think it would work so well with arts
& crafts era decorating. Measuring 52” Long x 14 ½” deep x 3 ½” high.
Queen Anne Brass Fireplace Tool Holder
Dynamite pair of Queen Anne fireplace tool holders. All you can see is bold severe & amazing! These
tool holders are not very common to find, most likely because they were a very extravagant &
expensive luxury item of the time. Any way these are made of solid brass & the surface patina is so rich
& mellow .These are so tiny & wonderful, If you don’t need them for the fireplace,,, I can see them being
used as bookends! These are very heavy for they’re size! Measuring 9” high x 4 ½” wide x 6 ¼” from
front to back. Dating from the early 19th Century. Be sure to look at my entire web catalog for more
incredible fireplace dressing.
Fireplace Tool Stand With Flame Finials
Brass fireplace tool stand dating from the 19th Century. Totally classical in design. The quality is
exceptional. I like everything about this stand. The flame finials are very dimensional & the form just
flows. They have a good amount of gold gilt remaining on the finials. The rest of the brass is very rich &
warm. The stand is in very good condition having only a few little pits on the back of the shovel. The set
consists of the stand , a tongs ,a poker & shovel. Measuring 32” high x 10” wide x 8 ½” deep.
Brass Andirons Small Brass Top
A great little pair of Chippendale style andirons. These are very small & quite unique. They might be
tiny in size but they sure are powerfull! Made in the 19th Century, in very good condition. As they are
right now the surface patina is rich & just screaming of age, you can of course polish these to bright &
shiney,its all a matter of preference. Measuring only 10 ½” high x 8 ½” wide across the feet & 17 ½”
from front to back. Striving For Excellence It isn’t brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent
attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
