19th century knock out chandelier. This gas
chandelier is made by Cornelius of Philadelphia; it
was originally a gas burning chandelier & has
since been fitted for electricity. It is gilt brass with
black patinated spelter crusader figures flanking
the center. Other appropriate adornments like
shields & swords are fixed to the chandelier in the
appropriate decorative places. This is a real
masterpiece of a chandelier from the Victorian
era. The shades are in in the Greek Key design
in keeping with the classical theme of this fixture.
It measures 55” long x 38” diameter. The wiring is
new, so it is ready to hung.
